Maintaining 911, Fire and police response
In the last five years, calls to our fire department have increased 31%, with a 911 call every 12 minutes, but there has been no increase in the number of firefighters on staff. This measure will give us the additional firefighters we need to save lives.

Keeping public areas safe and clean
Our city’s parks and wildlife areas are a source of community pride and provide free and low-cost programs for all of our residents. Funds from this measure will allow the city to maintain and upgrade facilities so children have a safe place to play and families and seniors have an affordable place to gather.

Preparing for and responding to wildfires
Recent fires remind us of the devastating impact of extreme weather patterns, which can destroy entire communities within minutes.
This measure will expand the fire department’s preventive brush clearing, upgrade fire engines and trucks, and purchase life-saving equipment that firefighters need to fight wildfires.

Repairing our roads
The most recent independent road engineer’s study rated the condition of half of the City of Riverside’s streets as “fair,” “marginal,” “poor,” or “very poor.”
This measure will provide the funding needed to repair our roads, fill potholes in our neighborhoods, and upgrade aging infrastructure.
